1893年古昌地震於當地時間11月17日19:30左右發生；這場地震根據面波震級的烈度為6.6，根據麥加利地震烈度表的烈度則為IX級。這場地震對當時伊朗東北部的古昌縣及周邊區域造成了毀滅性的打擊，傷亡人數估算在18,000人以上。
