大长吻针鼹（学名：Zaglossus bartoni）是在新几内亚的一种原针鼹属。牠们主要分布在巴布亚新几内亚海拔2000-3000米的地区。
大长吻针鼹的前肢有五趾，后肢则有四趾，趾上均有爪。牠重5-10公斤，体长60-100厘米，是单孔目中体型最大的。牠有浓密的黑毛，没有尾巴及行动缓慢。牠们受到攻击时会卷曲身体来防御。
大长吻针鼹共有四个亚种：
- Z. b. bartoni
- Z. b. clunius
- Z. b. smeenki
- Z. b. diamondi
每一个亚种都在地理上分隔的，牠们之间主要在体型上有分别。
