約翰·保羅·亨普爾（英語：John Paul Hempel，1935年10月14日—2022年1月13日），美國數學家，主要從事幾何拓撲學研究。萊斯大學教授。
生平[編輯]
1935年出生於鹽湖城。1957年畢業於猶他大學數學專業。1962年在威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校獲博士學位，同年進入萊斯大學任教。1976年出版拓撲學教科書《3-流形》[1]。2013年退休，同年當選美國數學學會會士[2]。2022年1月13日逝世[3][4]。
