地层尖灭
地层尖灭（pinch-out）是指沉积岩层向盆地边缘，逐渐减薄厚度直至消失的现象[1] 向陆源方向的地层消失，是因为沉积空间减少，沉积物颗粒较粗。向盆地中心方向的地层消失，是因为沉积物减少。沉积物颗粒较细。[2]根据地层尖灭点的沉积物颗粒，可推断沉积物的陆源方向。若地层尖灭点层层向陆源方向推进造成上超，向盆地中心推进造成下超[3]
