宾布菈赤翅虫（Binburrum）是鞘翅目赤翅虫科下的一属，该属成员仅见于澳大利亚[1]。
特征[编辑]
中小型甲虫（体长通常小于9毫米），翅鞘两侧外缘平行。头部及前胸背板上布有粗凹点刻。触角丝状，第四小节较二、三小节加起来的长度为短。缘折（elytral epipleuron）从吻端延伸至翅鞘前3/4[1]。
栖息地[编辑]
幼虫主要栖息于枯木的潮湿树皮下，已记录的植物物种包含芹叶松等[2][3]。成虫则主要分布于叶片或光源附近[2]。

命名[编辑]
该属学名“Binburrum”源自于拉丁文，字根“binburra”为某种南青冈属物种（Nothofagus spp.）的澳大利亚原住民语转写。由于该物种的分布与南青冈属物种相关，故以此得名[5]。
大众文化[编辑]
2020年，台湾昆虫学者萧昀等人发现了该属三个物种，且标本存量相当稀少，因此分别以三种稀有的传说鸟型宝可梦宝可梦急冻鸟、闪电鸟、火焰鸟来命名为“急冻鸟宾布菈赤翅虫”（Binburrum articuno）、“火焰鸟宾布菈赤翅虫”（Binburrum moltres）、“闪电鸟宾布菈赤翅虫”（Binburrum zapdos）[6][7]。
